Customers are asked to fill out a diet profile on the web to determine a customer’s specific goal, whether to lose weight, choose a healthier lifestyle or save time to achieve other objectives; and to know if there are any dietary restrictions, health conditions or taste preferences that customers have. Based on the information given by the customer, a meal counselor then recommends a right meal plan for them. They are then provided with a particular plan that suits their particular need or goal, the amount of calories recommended for them, the price plan and a sample menu of what they’ve signed up for.

People with Type 2 diabetes need not be concerned if they want to get into Diet-To-Go meal plans. These plans are designed to meet the standards of the American Diabetic Association, and are guaranteed to be well-balanced, thus providing adequate amounts of carbohydrates and protein in every meal. Low-carb plans are also available for those who need a stricter carb or sugar control.

Food and Recipes

Customers can choose among Diet-To-Go’s meal plans which include Low-Fat, Low-Carb and Vegetarian Meal plans. Customers can also choose to substitute meal plans for a small fee. Diet-To-Go offers a wide range of five-week diet meal plans. Traditionally prepared by expert chefs, these meals are guaranteed low in fat, low in sodium and definitely low in cholesterol. These meals also meet dietary guidelines of reputable organizations such as the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society and the American Dietetic Association.

Expense

The weekly cost for Diet-t-Go’s weekly pre-packaged food ranges from $60 to $75. But prices generally vary based on how many meals are ordered, the type of meal plan, how many days a customer wants the food to be delivered, the period of weeks a customer orders at a time and the amount of calories per day offered in the meal plan. On a daily basis, the cost ranges from $15 to $20 a day.

For a 4-week Full Meal Plan ordered online, which also includes 84 meals (1200 calories), the Low-Fat Plan costs $429.99 while the Low-Carb Plan costs $535.99.

For orders picked up in the Washington DC and San Francisco areas, the Low-Fat 7-day Full Plan which includes 21 meals costs $112.99, for a 1200 calorie requirement and $125.99 for a 1600 calorie requirement. The 7-day Low-Carb Full Plan, which also includes 21 meals with a 1500 calorie requirement, costs $140.99

Exercise

The Diet-to-Go plan does not give much emphasis on exercise programs or incorporating exercise routines with its diet plans. Although customers do get information on exercise and are provided with exercise tips through newsletters.
